Injured my foot 5d ago. er xray didn't show fx, but still very painful with swelling and unable to walk on it. any ideas? should i be concerned? thx!

Sometimes contusions: can take a while to heal. Having said that, if it isn't just a bad bruise (contusion), then you may have a micro-fracture that did not show up on initial X-rays... The foot is actually notorious for doing that. Get another X-ray in 1 week, as fractures will show up more easily given interval time. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
