Whey: Whey protein seems to be absorbed well. One thing to remember is that liquid protein tends to rush through the digestive tract quicker, yielding less absorption. To improve absorption, some recommend a digestive enzyme supplement to breakdown the protein and maximize absorption. According to studies, it is absorbed better than casein or soy. I would stick with that and 1g protein per pound/day
