Ouch!: Hi Martha...injuries to the frenulum are fairly common. Aside from over the counter pain relievers, there is not a whole lot you can do while it heals on its own. You might want to consider brushing with soft bristles and water instead of paste, and swish-and-spitting warm salt water. Avoid spicy, hot or acidic foods and beverages.

Normally should heal: As long as you don't keep irritating the area, the lesion should heal on its own. You might consider using hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip and dab it
