Laceration: You obviously just bruised or lacerated your lower frenum. No special treatment is normally needed and you should heal without incident within a few days. You can rinse with salt water if it makes if feel better but not necessary to do. If any other problem or issue see a dentist.

Trauma: Like any other traumatic injury may just take a few days to heal. You bruised the tissue, and there will be some recovery time. If there was any bleeding, or if soreness does not begin to ease off after 48 hours from the time of injury, see your Dentist. OTC analgesics may help, as well as rinsing w salt water.

Trauma: The pain that you are feeling is most likely related to the trauma from your toothbrush.. this should heal rather quickly, about a week. In the meantime be careful, eat soft foods and avoid spicy, crunchy food. If this area does not heal then see a dentist for evaluation.
