It is nnot good: Enamel can wear like anything else. The harder the bristle and the more abrasive the toothpaste, the more likely the damage.

Concur: I concur w d lockhart. Tooth decay ; gum disease caused by soft, sticky bacteria. The purpose of brushing (and flossing) is to disrupt the plaque, preventing production of acids and digestive enzymes. Brush gently but thoroughly 2 full minutes by the clock with a pea-sized portion of a fluoridated toothpaste.
