Yes, generally: It is likely that you have a temporary filling placed over the access opening of the tooth that just have had root canal treatment. The temporary filling does wear out. So until you have the permanent filling or crown placed don't do anything that will dislodge or wear out the filling. Brushing moderately is ok. Soft bristle always.
