Most likely, YES: Ultrasound is superior to your period in dating early pregnancy. A gestational sac is the first sonographic sign of pregnancy and appears about 4 1/2 weeks. Next is the yolk sac at about 5 weeks. The fetal pole with a heart beat at about 5 1/2 to 6 weeks. So, yes, it appears your pregnancy is progressing normally.
