E. coli on my wife's c-section wound, very strange! she's starting antibiotics today. how long does it take to kill off this infection?

Varies: She should be on antibiotics for 5-10 days depending on the antibiotic, the sensitivity of the e.coli and the severity of the infection. You should see improvement within 48 hours.
