It's better: If colon cancer prevalence in Egypt is 14% & a fecal immunologic test (Schebo) has sensitivity 70% & specificity 95%, a positive test is 45% truly positive & 55% falsely positive (test error). In a fecal blood test (Hemoccult II) of sensitivity 40% and specificity 98%, a positive test is 31% truly positive & 69% falsely positive - Less accurate. Positive colonoscopy: 53% true, 46% false. Helps?

Schebo colon ca test: ScheBo tumor M2-PK Stool Test is a totally new approach for bowel cancer screening. Previously, only non-specific tests for blood in the stool could be used to give an indication of an existing bowel cancer (24% accuracy). With the new ELISA method for Tumor marker M2-PK in the stool it′s now possible to detect bleeding or non-bleeding bowel cancers, as well as polyps (80-90%,sen.- specificity)

Accuracy: Acuracy in medcial terms is which refers to the number of true positives and true negatives divided by the total number of observations. We perfer to use the terms sensitivty and specificity, which are inversely related, which makes it impossible to have a test that is 100% correct all the time.
