Not good. : Chemotherapy regiments, including targeted therapy, have improved response rates, including regional chemotherapy into the hepatic artery via a pump or with microspheres, all of which may prolong survival and improve quality of life.

Depends on response : With a number of the new protocols the results have been encouraging for increasing lefe span.

Not great.: Chemotherapy can certainly slow down the progress of colon cancer spread to the liver, but the disease ultimately progresses. From what you said it sounds like the tumors are on both sides of the liver which rules out partialiver resection. Another palliative measure might be heat treatments to any of the tumors that get very painfull.
