FUO: If you have been evaluated without a diagnosis and have had persistent fever you need to be seen and assessed by an infectious diseases expert. Write down all your symptoms and the timing, your vital signs (T, P, RR) and all contacts including travel, food, sex, etc. and take this with you to the ID specialist. Something sounds seriously amiss. Best wishes.

Hematologist.: I think you will benefit from a thorough evaluation by a hematologist, if you did not see one during your hospital visit. This can help diagnose why you had such low blood counts to start with, and why you are iron deficient.

R/O lymphoma, TB...: As you know, fever is the body's response to infection, inflammation, or cancer. Tremors from infection are called rigors. If you have sweats, fever, and shaking chills, please be seen ASAP in either your doctor's office, urgent care, or ER. Hopefully, it isn't tuberculosis or another equally serious illness, but a hgb of 5 with transfusions is
serious. You need bloodworrk, cultures, a chest xray.
