Start with your: county's mental health referral service, or and ER (ask for the social worker). These resources will have all the info you need to get started and will direct you to public services, if appropriate. You are 26--are you eligible to be on your parent's health plan? Does your city have a referral center for mental health specialists? One, for psychologists, one for psychiatrists?
