Cold in 8 day old.: If you have not caught this cold or have any symptoms then you likely have antibodies to this cold and the good news is that you have passed them on to your baby passively at birth. This would suggest that your baby will have a mild case. It is not easy for babies to have a cold with such a little airway so if there is any change in her eating or sleeping have her seen by her doctor.

Probably not.: Keep an eye on the baby. As long as the baby is eating and doing its normal I would not worry. However, if change in behavior or fever get the baby checked.
