He's only 10 months old. i know ear infections are common for babies and he's been pulling on his left ear whilst crying all day.

Have him seen: Puling on his ear may or may not be anything important. Crying all day & wheezing is ample reason to have him seen by his doctor to sort out all the issues involved. If he has fed well enough to pee every 6 hrs & is taking fluids okay it can wait up to a day, but I would not wait longer to have him seen.
