I've just noticed some patches of sore spots on my 1 year old babies tongue, what could it be and should i be worried?

Spots: Please see your pediatric dentist or pediatrician. Without a description of the spots (color size) it is hard to say. The most common in children is thrush and is easily treated. Be sure all the toys are clean especially toys that enter the mouth and again please see your health care professional.

Patches: Your child may have a benign condition known a Geographic Tongue. But there may be other reasons. Your child is a year old. Time for his/her first Dental Examination. Advise that you see a Pediatric Dental Specialist, a Pedodontist.
