A member asked:

I have a 3 week old baby, i'm constantly worried she's going to catch a cold or flu. is it common at this age to get colds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The more common reason for nasal congestion or cough at that age is exposure to dust/fragrances/smoke /cooking or cleaning odors/etc. Babies tiny nasal passages react to things you tend to ignore. If you eliminate these from babies surroundings and use nasal saline to help wash them out, baby will be less congested.
