Playdough: See if you can get your child to sneeze. If there is play dough in hernose sphe might sneeze it out, otherwise go to the ER

I wouldn't: The presence of a little play dough would not be a problem for at least a few days. This would give you time to see if the kid could sneeze it out, or make it until you could have a regular office visit. Retained foreign material can lead to a mild nasal infection, so an exam is worthwhile, but I would not put a 3yo in an ER full of lots of germs for this.
