3 yr old stuck 1mg kids dissolvable melatonin tablet in right nostril. couldnt see it, he started to sneeze, lil purpleish runny from nostril...was going to use a saline solution after 15 min or so... what are recommendations?

Leave it alone. The mucus within the nose will help dissolve it and it will gradually disappear. If the kid gives of a nasty smell in a few days some remnants are still there & blocking mucus flow. Then I would let his doc try to remove it. If nothing like this happens after a few days the problem has resolved.

I agree, but a saline spray with gentle removal and mucus may be helpful.Watch for signs of infection and bleeding. Monitor your child’s temperature.
