Leave it alone. The mucus within the nose will help dissolve it and it will gradually disappear. If the kid gives of a nasty smell in a few days some remnants are still there & blocking mucus flow. Then I would let his doc try to remove it. If nothing like this happens after a few days the problem has resolved.

I agree, but a saline spray with gentle removal and mucus may be helpful.Watch for signs of infection and bleeding. Monitor your child’s temperature.
