A member asked:

My 6 yr old son had nasal cauterisation both nostrils on 16\3\20 due to nose bleeds. hasn't had nosebleeds since but he complains that he is struggling to breathe. we noticed today that he has a lump in his left nostril, is this cause for concern?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Difficulty in breathing is always a cause for concern. Please see your doctor for an in person assessment. It could be that exuberant granulation tissue is blocking the airway, but it is not feasible to provide an opinion without examining the child. Wish you and your son good health!
