3 yr. old can't breathe at night but when he blows his nose nothing comes out. is it congestion or swollen dry nostrils? what should i do?

Stuffy Nose: 3 yos often have difficulty blowing their noses. Hard to tell if his nasal passages are swollen, congested or dry. 1st have him rechecked by his doctor. Next look for triggers for stuffy noses- does he sleep with stuffed animals, a pet or is the room dusty? Your doctor can help you sort this out. Saline nasal drops can help but many 3 yos will not let you put anything in or up their nose!

Ive been using fluticasone propionate and just sprayed 2 sprays in each nostril about 20 minutes ago before I got in bed. I am unable to sleep because I have so much nasal congestion and I cant breathe great. Can I use Afrin spray in addition?
