Hyperkinetic GB: There is such an entity as a hyperkinetic GB.Usually EF will be >80%. Many of these patients, if they have typical symptoms of gallbladder disease, will respond to cholecystectomy. Just as many patients with low GB EF (dyskinesia) will respond to removal of GB.Unfortunately some may have persistent symptoms. But if no other cause found, may be worth the risk if symptoms are significant and classic

Normal: Usually greater than 35% gb ejection fraction is considered normal. In some labs hyperkinetic gall bladder is contemplated when ejection fraction greater than 80%.
