Hair follicle: Could be infected, particularly if you shave or groom the area. Try some topical antibiotic cream. You might want to avoid shaving the area for a few days to prevent spreading germs.

Folliculitis: This is likely folliculitis or inflammation around a hair from shaving or depilatories. Avoid squeezing or pressing hard. Wash with soap and water and try a topical antibiotic ointment. If it worsens an oral antibiotic may be warranted. www.asc-psd.com
