Morsicatio buccarum: rinse with warm salt water 3-4 times a day, Ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen) (one tab.3-4 hours as needed for pain) work well to alleviate the tenderness and discomfort. Also apply compounded topical cream. Get it seen: A painful white ulcer that pops up overnight isn't cancer, but you need to have the problem tooth fixed. An ulcer that has been there for some time is more likely to be a problem ulcer and needs to be seen.
