Yes: Tea, coffee, and cocoa (Chocolate) inhibit absorption of iron and should not be consumed with meals in people with iron deficiency anemia. Polyphenols in these beverages inhibit the absorption of iron. Black tea appears to be the most potent in this regard but green tea does inhibit iron absorption some. Best wishes!
