ANA: 1. ELISA is an immunoassay used to screen for ANA (high sensitivity, relatively low specificity). Can have false positive even with high titer. 2.If ELISA positive, usually a confirmation test will follow. Indirect Fluorescent Antibody Assay (IFA) is more specific test used as a golden standard to detect ANA. Hope that helps.
