Not Necessarily: We usually prescribe high doses of Vit D. for individuals who are Vitamin D deficient. The doses could be as high as 50,000IU weekly or 2 times a week depending on how low their levels are. Normal daily doses depending on where you live should be about 500 to 1000 iu daily.
