Potential overdosage: 10,000.00 units is a very large number; Usually maximum is around 5000 units, with 1000 to 2500 commonly used. Diarrhea can complicate the use of high doses of Vitamin D. Toxicity can occur with most any substance in some fashion if patient is sensitive or dose is too strong

Weekly Okay: There is no consensus of the advantages of taking Vit D daily vs. 1X/W. In general Vit D Half Life (how long it takes for your body to get rid of ½ of what you took) is very long, up to 15 days some believe. So if you get your D to an optimal level (50-60), taking your supplement 1X/W vs. daily may not make much difference.
