What are some possible causes of cryptitis of the colon (l>r) in a 3 yr old???

Infection or IBD: The possibilities for cryptitis (inflammation of crypts in the intestinal tract, usually colon) are infection and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease). Colonoscopy and cultures usually allows the etiology to be identified.
