How long would it take your gp doctor to organise a ultra sound scan for an ectopic pregnancy? would an ectopic pregnancy be picked up in a test?

Immediately: If there is a suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy, an ultrasound should be ordered immediately and done the same day. This is considered a medical emergency.
