They're great: Provide you with the best means of replacing missing teeth, and are the closest Dentistry has come to providing a tooth-like substitute. As long as your bone/gum tissues are healthy, Implants/crowns are the leading edge restorations. They must be cared for just like natural teeth (brushing/flossing). They are expensive, but in the long run worth the cost.

Appearance/cost: Dental implants give an excellent result in appearance. They can look very similar to your original tooth. Also they do not require any special care like a bridge or false teeth may require. The drawback has to do with cost which is quite high and the time it takes to do an effective implant. If you get an implant make sure that you see a dentist that does implants regularly.

Many Pros, few Cons: I you are looking to replace a missing tooth or teeth with a prosthesis that best mimics your natural teeth, then dental implants are the way to go. Rather than cutting down natural teeth or wearing removable teeth, you can have fixed teeth that are indistinguishable from your natural teeth. Only con is that they are more expensive than other methods for replacement.
