Check with doctor: Some people respond to a dose of 100 mg of gabapentin. Others need up to 600 mg per dose. Some do not respond at all. Don't change your dose without checking with your doctor. You are taking multiple pain medicines. Changing the doses on your own may produce the adverse effects of one or more without obtaining benefits.

May increase: Gabapentin is safe and there are no interactions with cymbalta (duloxetine). Sometimes the dose is increased to as high as 900 mg three times a day. This would need to be increased by your doctor, slowly over months based on symptoms and all your other medications and conditions. As with any medication you want to use the lowest dose possible to get the desired results. Results with gabapentin take time.
