A member asked:

Blood pressure significantly higher in ankles than arms. what causes this? 30mmgh diff. systolic. isn't normal ankle bp slightly lower than arms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Higher in legs: BP should be higher in the legs. There is something called an ABI, ankle brachial index. You put the BP in the arm over the BP in the leg and you should get a ratio greater than 1. a 300mm difference may be a bit high, i would do the test again to check.
