Why?: The Fioricet is a pain medication used for tension and migraine headaches and Klonopin (clonazepam) is for anxiety. My guess is that you have an anxiety disorder which causes tension headaches and had nothing to do with discontinuing those medications. Neither medications have to be used continuously on a long-term basis because they are habit-forming.
