Why do doctors keep saying to cut fioricet with codeine (acetaminophen butalbital caffeine and codeine) pill, it only comes in capsule. can you open the capsule to take half?

Cut down on use.: I agree with Dr. Omrani. Please don't cut up the Fioricet with Codeine capsule. However, if you are using Fioricet with Codeine it should be used very judiciously as you could develop tolerance. It contains both a narcotic and a barbituate.
