Many: 1st primary care, then GI. Confoirm diagnosis with a nuclear medicine gastric emtpying study. If diet and optimization of existing meds don't work, a trial of meds such as reglan, (metoclopramide) cisapride, and/or domperidone is in order. Next step would be gastric stimulator implantation, and finally removal of the stomach as a last resort. Stimulator info on Medtronic website. Interent forums on gastroparesis.
