Evaluation: If your treatment for asthma and gastroparesis is optimized and you feel fine and nothing can be done to improve both conditions you do not need to see pcp. If your asthma is acting up you need optimization before the surgery.

More info needed: How well is your asthma controlled? Any recent flare ups? Any other medical conditions?

Not need ed: The only reason you would need a meeting with either of those two doctors would be if you had a flare up of asthma or an infection/cold that needed to be treated by your pcp. Good luck.
