Follow up needed: Gastroparesis is best diagnosed and managed as an outpatient and a gastroenterologist with expertise in such stomach conditions should be involved. There are many conditions behaving like gastroparesis and the search for a possible cause may reveal the best way to treat it. If you do not have a gastroenterologist establish first with a primary care doc that will be able to further coordinate.
