Ankle pain: If you are still having ankle pain after a sugery that was suppose to alleviate it, it may be because your foot needs better support in term of a custom made orthotic or arch support. A cortisone injection may also alleviate the pain, along with oral cortisone and a short term dose of an anti-inflammatory. I would suggest weight bearing xrays of your ankle and that you see a good podiatrist.

See your surgeon: I recommend you see the surgeon who operated on your foot to discuss this concern. There may be other things that can be done including a steroid injection. It really depends on what is causing the pain.

GO BACK: You had FOOT surgery, but your ANKLE hurts? First step; go back to your surgeon. If not satisfied, seek a 2nd opinion. Dr. Latva
