I have some swelling on the side of my knee on the inside of my right knee do u know what causes this my doctor put me on steroids for my knee and leg?

Knee pain: Consider arthritis, meniscal tear, synovitis, contusion, hematoma, sprain, strain, etc. Hard to say without exam. See orthopedic surgeon if not better.

? arthrtis: Swelling could be due to a torn meniscus, arthritis, or bursitis around the knee. The steroids reduce swelling and inflammation, but do not solve the underlying cause. If the steroids do not help, then you may need further evaluation
