Can walking 3 miles cause leg or knee pain if overused legs? im not used to walking that much. i didnt know if should go to doc or not. no swelling or redness or warmth in legs or knee

Yes: If you have not walked much and you walked 3 mile for sure that can cause leg pain. These are myalgias and you can get some rhabdomyolysis or muscle breakdown. Should respond to rest, hydration and NSAID. Good to walk though, so when you get recovered give it a another go!

Overuse injury : To go back and walk 3 miles would probably give you the same result. I would evaluate your shoes. I would utilize a stretching program. Then I would gradually build up to 3 miles especially if terrain is not level
