Big picture: About one grown woman in four has detectable antinuclear antibodies. They are only on part of the workup for your back pain / fatigue. For most people, they are of no consequence. They are of course the basic screening test for lupus and for a few other illnesses, but you're not a lupus patient yet. Best wishes -- stay proactive and keep asking these good questions.
