Gallbladder was found partially contracted during ultrasound,was fasting for 9 hours..what does that mean?

Implies inflammation: The gallbladder is a sac which stores bile. It releases it's bile in response to hormones for help with digestion. There are two main reasons the gallbladder would be contracted. Most commonly In response to a recent meal. If you have fasted for 9 hours, I would expect your gallbladder to be full with bile. Partial contraction implies scarring from inflammation either currently or in the past.
