Not commonly: A gallbladder ultrasound that reads a thickened wall is more commonly associated with cholecystitis - inflammation of the gallbladder. The wall of the gallbladder thickens as it gets inflamed. Gallbladder polyps are usually stones that are forming in the wall of the gallbladder. See your surgeon for further evaluation and treatment.
