Is it possible to develop heart failure within 7 months of having normal echocardiogram? waiting results of blood work for related symptoms.

Yes: About half of patients with symptoms of heart failure have normal echocardiogram,as determined by a measurement called ejection Fraction. This is called Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection fraction. It is frequently seen in the elderly,women,hypertensive or Diabetic . Inspite of normal echo their blood test called naturetic peptides are elevated suggesting their heart is in stress.
