Ive had a radionuclide stress test, echocardiogram, several ekgs, chest x-ray, and blood work done. everything very normal. problem is when they take bp, i get very anxious. it is high, and i am more anxious thinking it is heart. obsessed with bp?

I would obtain a simple home BP monitor and learn to use it. If you take it at home under relaxed circumstances, you can discover whether you have true hypertension or just "white coat" hypertension triggered by anxiety. It's a real diagnosis. If it remains up at all times, it is worth medicating. The cited tests do not say why the BP is up, just any effect to date on your system.
