Possibly: A nap - for you - may serve to help de-escalate the stress that further worsens your anxiety. So it isn't a surprise that naps help at points of severe anxiety. But you may want to work on other stress reduction/coping mechanisms that you may more easily work into your daily routine when your anxiety seems to be spiraling out of control, like prayer or meditation or breathing techniques.
