A member asked:

I got scoliosis in my upper back by 30-40 degrees. if i straighten that out with exercises, would it be possible for me to "gain" 1-2 cm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unfortunately,: exercises will not straighten out scoliosis. If you keep your weight down, & core muscles, & trunk muscles stabilized w/ proper exercises, it will minimize occurrence of symptoms from your scoliosis later on in life. And may reduce rate of your scoliosis progression (possibly). If surgery is ever indicated (which is not the case now), that can lead to your gaining height if curvature is corrected.
