If persistent,yes: Large palpable lymph nodes in the neck are not consistent with normal findings. Depending on size, and presence of tenderness and if along the jugular chain, they should be carefully watched. Any increase in number and further enlargement in size should cause suspicion of underlying pathology and require surgical excision of one node for bx rather than aspiration.
