I've had a palpable 0.5cm anterior cervical lymph node for three months. when i noticed the node, i had folliculitis in the neck and the spots went away with antibacterial cream. its size fluctuates when i squeeze it a lot. my gp is not concerned?

It can months for a lymph node draining a site of infection to return to normal size. You may feel the node every couple of weeks, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Some basics: Cervical lymph node is not considered enlarged until its diameter exceeds 1.0 cm. One small node which has not increased in size in 3 month in anterior cervical region is not of particular concern.
