A member asked:

Found bean sized lymph node in posterior cervical area of neck three weeks ago, firm but not hard, easily moves. my family has been sick with colds/flu this month but ive not had any symptoms. doc is not concerned. should i push for more evaluation?

Have your doctor continue to monitor it. It is likely a reactive lymph node that protected you from acquiring symptoms similar to your family. If symptoms do develop, notify your doctor and if the size of the lymph node increases notify your doctor.
